Etiquette and Rules of Shooting

    First at the Field
1:- Do not shoot in advance of the shooting line, as it invalidates our insurance.
2:- If tuning or getting sights for field rounds, follow the rule for shooting more than
3:- One detail at the time (See below), and use the target lane furthest from the hut.
4:- Greet new arrivals to the field.

     Arriving at the Field
5:- Do not interrupt an archer in the middle of their shooting.
6:- Say “Hello” to everyone.
7:- Establish the round being shot and how you might fit in.
8:-Always ask before you soot at a target that has already been set up.


    Shooting more than one detail at the time
9:-This is allowed in exceptional circumstances. Only then if the Archers are 6 lanes
    apart and all archers present agree.


       Whilst Shooting
10:- If there is more than one archer shooting, someone should be nominated Field
      Captain and there whistle is to be obeyed.
11:- Do not touch or pick up anyone’s equipment without their permission.
12:- If you smoke, eat or drink, take all rubbish home.
13:- Do not talk to or distract archers on the line
15:- If you break another archer’s arrow, @ in the ground, or (b) at the target through
      carelessness rather than shooting, the you should own up and offer to pay for if  immediately.
16:-Do not ask about an archer’s score during a shoot.
17:-It is customary to help in the search for arrows - even if they are lost from another target.


       Coaching
18:- Coaching will not automatically correct your shooting, unless it looks painful or
      dangerous - you need to ask.
19:- If you need coaching prearrange some date - coaches want to shoot as well, so
